Là Phó Tổng Giám đốc - Tổng Kỹ sư của Công ty TNHH Cơ khí Liễu Châu OVM (Trung Quốc), ông Tạ Chính Nguyên là một trong những chuyên gia tiên phong trong lĩnh vực phát triển công nghệ dây cho cầu treo. Ông còn là Kỹ sư cao cấp - Cấp giáo sư (Professorate Senior Engineer) với hơn 130 bằng sáng chế quốc gia cùng hàng loạt công trình nghiên cứu ứng dụng thực tiễn.
