The establishment of the Research and Development Department is not merely the addition of a specialized division, but also a strategic step toward building a ‘pioneering center’ for the research, testing, and development of new engineering solutions, products, and technologies.

This department will serve as the hub for receiving, evaluating, and developing innovative ideas before they are applied in practice, thereby contributing to improved product quality, optimized construction efficiency, and enhanced competitive advantages for the Group in the marketplace.

The Group also announced the appointment of Mr Nguyen Van Huy, Technical Director of the Group, to concurrently serve as Head of the Research and Development Department.

Speaking at the ceremony upon assuming his new role,  Mr Nguyen Van Huy emphasized: “Building a mechanism to screen and evaluate ideas from the very early stages, before they are introduced into business operations or implemented on construction projects, is certainly not an easy task, but it is extremely necessary. In fact, I had already proactively initiated this work even before the Department officially came into operation.

Delivering his remarks at the ceremony, Mr Tran Dai Nghia, Chief Executive Officer of the Group, outlined a clear direction for the Research and Development Department in the coming years: "We are not simply selling products; we must deliver solutions. The mission of the Research and Development Department is to identify new directions, products, and technologies that the market has not yet achieved or has not executed effectively, thereby creating unique competitive advantages for the Group"

Accordingly, at Minh Duc Construction Group, the R&D Department will focus on several key strategic directions, including: Researching and developing specialized construction systems such as prestressing systems, cable-stayed and suspension cable systems, and anchoring solutions for slope stabilization; Researching and developing new commercial products aligned with market demands; Applying and mastering advanced technologies to enhance construction efficiency and improve project quality.

With an ecosystem of 11 member companies operating across multiple sectors — particularly in construction and infrastructure — Minh Duc possesses extensive expertise in specialized fields such as slope stabilization, anchoring works, and prestressing systems. This serves as a strong foundation for the R&D Department to conduct testing, drive development, and rapidly apply innovative solutions in real-world projects.
