In the context of Vietnam gradually approaching and preparing for the implementation of high-speed railway projects, this seminar holds not only academic significance but also serves as a forum to connect knowledge with practice, contributing to clarifying the core issues of this strategic infrastructure sector.

Prominent at the seminar are 6 in-depth presentations, meticulously selected to provide a seamless flow of insights ranging from a general overview, design principles, and technical analysis, to practical experiences and implementation challenges.

Opening the presentation series, Mr. Nguyen Van Lam—an expert from the Traffic Construction Architecture and Engineering Consultancy Joint Stock Company (A-ETC)—will bring a detailed perspective on the technical design of the Hanoi - Quang Ninh high-speed railway line. With years of experience in transport infrastructure design consultancy, he will not only introduce a general overview but also deeply analyze common bottlenecks when applying technical standards to real-world conditions in Vietnam.

From a foundational principle perspective, Mr. Lee Duck Young—an expert from Yooshin Engineering Corporation (South Korea)—will deliver a presentation titled “Design Principles for High-Speed Railway Lines.” This session is expected to provide a structured design mindset based on core principles proven through major large-scale projects worldwide. Beyond clarifying standards that ensure safety and sustainability for the works, the presentation opens up valuable reference points to help Vietnamese engineers enhance their capacity and align with international standards.

While design principles lay the foundation for the entire system, bridge structures play a pivotal role in ensuring continuity, safety, and operational efficiency for high-speed railways during actual implementation. In his presentation “Research on Bridge Design for High-Speed Railway,”Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hau (University of Transport and Communications) will focus on clarifying specific technical requirements while suggesting bridge design orientations tailored to Vietnam's practical conditions.

With nearly 40 years of working and researching in transport infrastructure, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Ha (University of Transport and Communications) will delve into “Dynamic Analysis of Bridges Under High-Speed Operational Conditions.” This is a key factor determining the absolute safety and long-term sustainability of the structure throughout its lifecycle. The expert's presentation is highly valued as a synthesis of academic theoretical foundations, computational modeling, and practical construction experience, thereby shaping a new mindset in transport infrastructure structural calculations.

Moving beyond theory, the seminar also offers a practical viewpoint from a country with one of the most advanced high-speed railway systems in the world. Mr. Tran Khai—an expert from Minh Duc Group—will share “Experiences in the Design and Construction of High-Speed Railway Bridges in China.”

Following a comprehensive series covering overviews, design principles, technical analysis, and practical experiences, the seminar will conclude its specialized section with a holistic topic focusing on challenges in structural calculation. In the final presentation, Mr. Pham Duc Tuấn will discuss “Obstacles in Structural Calculation for High-Speed Railway Bridges,” clarifying typical difficulties and suggesting appropriate approaches for actual practice.

Bringing together leading experts along with a system of comprehensive, specialized presentations, the Seminar is highly anticipated to deliver multi-dimensional perspectives, helping to clarify core issues in the technical design of high-speed railway lines. This is also an important foundation for connecting knowledge, experience, and reality, moving towards the step-by-step refinement of solutions suitable for implementation conditions in Vietnam.
