The Railway Overpass on Nguyen Tat Thanh Road

The project is part of Vinh Phuc’s urban infrastructure development plan, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion at the critical intersection of Nguyen Tat Thanh Road and the Hanoi – Lao Cai railway line.

The railway overpass project on Nguyen Tat Thanh Road received an investment fund of 488 billion VND from the province according to the construction and transportation planning. Construction began on January 3, 2023, with several key components including the foundations and piers for 8 spans, the entire substructure, reinforced concrete and steel bridge beams—all of which have been completed and the bridge has been joined (closure). The service roads are under construction with the earthworks mostly finished, and some sections have completed asphalt paving to ensure smooth traffic flow during the project’s execution.

 The team of engineers from Minh Duc Group is responsible for the construction of the prestressed cable system on the railway overpass along Nguyen Tat Thanh Road. Currently, about 90% of the work has been completed, including the completion of the tensioning phase for the stay cable system (at steel tower pier 3 with 2 steel beam spans).

The infrastructure of Vinh Phuc capital is increasingly asserting its clear position and role with the application of cable-stayed bridge technology, featuring stylized tower pylons and a bridge width of 22.5 meters, with service roads arranged on both the north and south sides. The bridge itself is constructed with a length of 368.6 meters, while the total project length is 752 meters.

The project impresses strongly with the design of a “chim lạc” (legendary bird) motif on the railway overpass along Nguyen Tat Thanh Road — a highly meaningful symbol representing the city's readiness to soar and rise to new heights.

During the 30/4 and 1/5 holiday period, the workforce of Minh Duc Group tirelessly worked through the scorching heat—temperatures nearing 40°C—to meet the project deadline while maintaining quality and ensuring workplace safety.
